Bowls Victoria strongly urges all Bowls Clubs, especially those who seek to engage juniors, to sign up to the Get Active Kids Voucher Program. Time is running out with registrations closing soon!
What is the Get Active Kids Voucher Program?
The “Get Active Kids Voucher Program” is a State Government provided program to support struggling families and help connect kids with clubs.
How does it work?
Eligible families apply for vouchers to offset membership fees, equipment or uniform expenses up to $200 before paying any upfront costs. After being approved, the voucher gets presented to registered Get Active Kids Voucher Program Activity Providers, the Providers then redeem the voucher from the Government.
Why should my club sign up?
By signing up, your club joins a network of clubs providing opportunities to kids to play sport, who may not be able to afford to play otherwise. An expense reimbursement up to the value of $200 could be the difference between a family choosing your club, or another club or sport entirely.
What do I need to do to sign up?

To be eligible for registration as an activity provider, bowls clubs must:
- Be an incorporated entity registered with the appropriate regulator;
- Possess an active Australian Business Number (ABN); &
- Be affiliated with Bowls Victoria.

Registrations close at 10:00 am on Monday, 25 September 2023.
Additional Information
The program is open to Victorian children aged up to 18, named on a valid Commonwealth Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card, and named on a valid Medicare Card at the time of application.
Clubs interested in conducting or seeking more information on commencing a junior program can contact the Participation Team at Bowls Victoria or their local Club Support Manager for access to support, including program resources, key contacts, and promotion.
