The City vs Country Series was conceived to support the selection of the Victorian Thunder (male) and Lightning (female) State Sides. The Series format provides a higher standard for players vying for positions in the State Sides, increased visibility for players from across the State, and creates a more meaningful format for all players as they are tested in a truly competitive environment.

Featuring the best city and country players in the State going head to head for bragging rights, teams consist of 24 men per side (6 rinks) and 16 women per side (4 rinks), playing 5 x 15 end games across the two-day series. The team with the most game wins will take the title.
A historical record of all players chosen to represent both the City and the Country Teams is made, with players presented with a numbered cap in recognition of their selection.
