Australian Indoor Qualifying

Bowls Victoria on behalf of Bowls Australia are holding qualifying events for the 2021 Australian Indoor Championships at bowls clubs across Victoria. This year bowlers have a greater number of locations throughout both Metro Melbourne and Regional Victoria to select from in order to qualify.

Draws and fixtures are now available for the Victorian trials, to be held Saturday 10th – Sunday 11th July.

Players listed 1st and 2nd in the Section are to play against each other in the first game,
with the 3rd player as the marker of that game.

The 2nd game will be the loser of the 1st game, playing against the marker from the 1st game,
with the winner of the 1st game to be the marker.

The 3rd game is the winner of the 1st game, playing against the marker of the 1st game,
with the loser of the 1st game to be the marker.

Please note, all players must mark games during their sectional play.

Any players reported as not marking will be refused entry into the following year’s competition.


1.1         Four bowls per player.

1.2         Sectional play, three (3) players per Section.

1.3         Sets Play as per Law 56 – 2 sets of 9 ends with a 3-end tie-break if required.

1.4         Jack re-spotted in accordance with Law 56.5.3.

1.5         One trial end (2 Bowls each) prior to the commencement of each game.

1.6         Players will mark matches in own section where not drawn to play.

The 2021 Australian Indoor Championships is a Bowls Australia event scheduled to be held from Monday the 16th – Thursday 19th August, 2021 at Tweed Heads Bowls Club.

* Please note there is a minimum entry requirement of 24 entries per venue in order for that event to go ahead. Should a venue not receive the minimum number of entries required, those entrants will be offered an alternate venue.
