Grant Writing Workshops
In recent years, Victorian bowls clubs have secured $22 million in government funding.
Whether it’s to install a synthetic green, erect solar panels, upgrade your kitchen facilities or to purchase equipment to increase participation, a club’s grant application is critical in securing a slice of the millions available.
Bowls Victoria are conducting half day (1pm -5pm) Grant Writing Workshops in all Regions to provide Member Clubs with the opportunity to learn practical techniques and hear valuable insights.
Presented by Regional Sports Victoria, the Workshops will include:
- Pre-grant application, accessing supporting data and evidence
- Realising your club’s ‘value proposition’ and why it’s a good starting point for your application
- Identifying and working with potential community partners
- Understanding grant eligibility criteria
- Formulating your project plan and the resources required to make it successful
- Developing a realistic budget
- Adhering to grant conditions and responsibilities
- Understanding the funder’s goals and why your project should align with these
- A local bowls club case study (clubs who have recently been successful in receiving government funding)
- Open Q&A to discusschallenges and experiences
