Bowling With Babies reaches 250 mums
More than 250 mums have now taken part in Bowls Victoria’s ultra-successful Bowling With Babies program – a joint initiative between us and VicHealth.
Not only have there been benefits for mums and babies of getting into the outdoors, and for the mums the great, low-impact sport, fun, meeting new people and a few coffees, but there have been tangible spin-offs for clubs and the sport as well.
Most of those taking part have been experiencing bowls for the first time. And clubs have even found it a new way to introduce members.
Auburn Bowls Club has signed up 10 new members as a direct result of the Bowling With Babies program.
Other venues to host the Bowling With Babies program have been Lilydale, Highton, Werribee, Heathmont and Ivanhoe.
