Bowls Victoria Arm Coaching Days

by Team BV

Bowlers Arm players in the Horsham and Warrnambool areas will have the opportunity to have Arm Coaching by State Arm Player/Coaches in February.
State Arm Player/Coaches will visit Horsham City Bowling Club on Tuesday, February 21, and Warrnambool on Wednesday, February 22 with a clinic at City Memorial Bowling Club.
Phil Gude, the State Arm Coordinator, and AJ Parker will be at Horsham City BC on Tuesday, February 21 at 12 noon to conduct an afternoon coaching session, and the following day at City Memorial BC at Warrnambool from 10am.
Mr Gude said: “First time Arm players are especially encouraged to attend as are those who are now proficient and looking for extra tips to improve further.
“This is a unique opportunity to get specialist Arm assistance from State Arm Player/ Coaches who offer their time free to help players gain even greater enjoyment from their bowling experience.”
Bowls Victoria Chief Executive Graeme Bridge said: “We are very fortunate to have this group so actively helping player with use of the Arm devices that are now available.
“There are over 7,000 Arm players in Victoria representing around 15% of all registered players in this State.
“Arm playing has developed faster than most imagined and is keeping thousands involved that might otherwise be lost to our great sport.”
Victoria will be host State this year in September to the National Arm Bowling Championships, which this year looks like having another State join in Western Australia.
