Our Victorians at 2016 World Bowls

by Team BV

Victoria will have three representatives in the Australian team for the 2016 World Bowls Championships in Christchurch from November 29 to December 11.
Recent National Champion of Champions singles winner Carla Krizanic (Sunbury), Commonwealth Games medallist Barrie Lester (Mulgrave CC) and world Under 25 Champion Aaron Wilson (Clayton) will be part of the Jackaroos outfit.
Krizanic will be part of the women’s triples and fours teams, Lester is in the men’s triples and fours, and Wilson will compete in men’s pairs and fours.
Victorian-based Ali Forsyth (New Zealand) and 2016 Vic Open champion Kelly McKerihen (Canada) will also compete at the World Bowls Championships.
In an extraordinary feat for Clayton, the club will have three players at World Bowls, with Forsyth and McKerihen playing alongside Wilson at Clayton. McKerihen, who is dual registered, also plays Pennant for Caulfield Park Alma BC.
