Play Bowls Month success for Morwell
With record numbers of more than 110 clubs throughout Victoria being part of Play Bowls Month in 2017, Bowls Victoria is already getting clubs telling us how successful it has been in attracting new people to the sport.
Morwell Bowling Club is one club which has reported a fantastic Try Bowls day as part of October’s Play Bowls Month.
Morwell’s Keith Gadsby says: “We had approx 40 people with the prospect of several joining as members. We held a free Sausage Sizzle and everyone enjoyed a good time.”
Morwell is also making sure it conducts follw-up activities, running Twilight Bowls every Monday evening during daylight saving months which has also been getting excellent attendances.
