Beaumaris seeking playing coach

The Beaumaris Bowls Club (BBC) is seeking expressions of interest for a Playing Coach to join the club for the 2024/25 Season.

The position represents a revised approach to our coaching agenda and will be focused on working with an identified group of experienced players to elevate individual and side performance. The coach/player will work closely with the Head Coach and will have input into side selection.

The position would ideally suit someone with current coaching qualifications or an accomplished bowler looking to take the next steps in their coaching career.


As a proud community club we currently have Divisions 1, 4, 4, & 5 with eight teams in Weekend Pennant as well as two Midweek Pennant sides. We are renowned for the playing surfaces of our two greens, one synthetic and one natural Tiff Dwarf.

In addition we also have a strong community membership base. The club is successful with enticing new members and wish to further develop an already successful environment in which new and experienced bowlers can thrive. The BBC is known for its competitive passion and its vibrant social atmosphere.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Current coaching qualifications or be willing to undertake a coaching qualification, and will be available to play Saturday pennant.
  • Attained recognition and success at a high level within the Australian bowls community.
  • Sound motivational skills.
  • Good communication skills and be able to engage with members of all ages and abilities.

This role will report to the Chair of Bowls Committee
