Swan Hill Bowling Arm Classic
It was a very successful day with 18 teams and 54 players enjoying the day. Teams from Barwon Heads, Maryborough, St James, Bendigo, Cohuna, Barham, Donald as well local Swan Hill teams. 
Winners: G Edwards, B Anset, L Wesley
Runners-Up: G Smith W King G Clark
Best Game Winners each game: R Reseigh, Team Donald; T Marsili, Team Swan Hill; D Millsteed, Team Swan Hill.

Shepparton Park Two Bowl Triples

Winners: Allan Walter (s), Ken Taggart, Lorna Howell – 3 wins, 56 points +21 shots up.
Runners-up: Barry Anset (s), Peter Brodie, Robert Anset, 2.5 games, 50 points +26 shots up.

Mooroopna Armed Triples
Mooroopna Bowls Club had a great day with weather in fine form (no rain and sun shining with a cool breeze).
Ten teams participated, and bowlers from distant venues such as Whittlesea, Yarra Valley, Wangaratta. Seymour, Shepparton, and Mooroopna.
The contest was over 3 games of 12 ends of 2 Bowl Triples played on our lovely carpet green. Too much rain for play on our lovely grass greens.
Winners: Mike Limosani (s), Eric Floyd, John Gillard (Yarra Valley/Rosanna)
Runners-up: Allan Walter (s), Ken Taggart, Lorna Howell (Barwon Heads, Maryborough & Horsham)
 
Mt Martha Bowling Arm Tournament
Around 50 Bowlers Arm players assembled in windy but fine conditions for Mt Martha’s first Arm event. The Club has recently added a new Carpet Green that was appreciated by everyone. This along with other improvements, an expanded Deck area, green level BBQ and bar facilities makes Mt Martha a fantastic venue for Peninsula residents and is a real eye opener for visitors.    

All players indicated they would love to come back again next year. The Club hosts were all very welcoming and helped create a friendly fun day for the Armers.

Karingal Two Bowl Triples
Winners: Phil Gude (s), Ray Arnold, Graham Peck +46 shots
Runners-up: Alan Voice (s), Doug Algie, Kevin Vorbach +6 shots

Werribee Bowlers Arm Tournament
We had 16 teams from over 15 clubs. Such a wonderful result and a fantastic day. The club is very happy with the response considering this was only the second time running this event.

Runners-Up: Jim Cuthbertson, Norm Dickson, Brian Barby (Yallourn)
Best 2nd Game: Alan Walter (Barwon Heads), Ken Taggart (Maryborough), Ted Tyrrell (Hoppers Crossing)
 
Armadale BC @ South Caulfield Super Bowlers Arm Tournament
Clubs represented were: Belvedere, City of Frankston, Croydon, Dromana, Drouin, Edithvale, Karingal, Mornington, Mt Martha, Mt. Waverley, Pakenham, Warragul, Whittlesea and Yallourn.
Best 4th Game – Leon Cohen, Herbie Lobel and Rob Solomon, Armadale. Win/5 ends = +9 points.
Best 3rd Game – Graeme Avery, Colin Dale and Barry Fossey, Karingal.  Win/4 ends = 8 points.
Best 2nd Game – Peter Gribbin, Keith Archer and Garry Pincott, Pakenham. Win/5 ends = 9 points.
Best 1st Game – Bruce Kendrick, John Reid and Peter Armstrong, Mount Waverley. Win/7 ends = 11 points.
3rd – Margaret Watson, Grahame Watson and Ron Chambers, Whittlesea. 3 Wins 34 points.
2nd – Bob Ormisher, John Cobden and Ann Power, City of Frankston.  4 Wins  35 points
1st – AJ Parker (Mt Martha), Phil Gude and Graeme Peck (Dromana) 3 Wins 35 points (equal 35 points but won on a countback 23-19)
There to present the major prize of the day was the Member for Caulfield David Southwick, who thanked the club for their great organisation and catering. He also thanked former Parliamentarian Phil Gude for all his work post politics, in regard to disability services.
Organisers of the day were: David Bernard, Jack Cooper, Michael Gild, David Brame, Les Newman, Sharonna Brott and others. Umpire of the day was Michael Gild.

Dromana Open Pairs
On a beautiful warm day at Dromana we hosted our Arm Bowlers Open 2,4,2 Pairs event with 13 rinks of competitors from as far afield as Benalla, Warragul, Croydon, Pakenham and a host of Peninsula teams.  It was a big day – 3 games of 10 ends.  The soft chairs in the Bar were a welcome rest for most players.
The event was sponsored jointly by Mornington Mazda and Travability (a local travel company who are world leaders in world-wide travel for people with mild to severe physical disability).  Our special thanks to our wonderful sponsors who made the $1,000 prize pool possible.
Overall winners: Phil Gude & Graeme Peck (Dromana) with a total score of +38 shots.
Runners-Up: Peter Wilding & Gordon Halsall (Croydon) with +21 shots
3rd: Ray Polstra & Bruce McDonald (West Rosebud) with +19 shots
Best 1st Game: Peter Gribbin & Mike Scotter (Pakenham)
Best 2nd Game: A.J. Parker & Mike Whitty (Mt Martha)
Best 3rd Game: Kevin Hutchinson & Ken Mallinson

City of Frankston BC Battle of the Arms

51 armed bowlers, from 26 clubs across Victoria, played in the second singles tournament held at City of Frankston Bowling Club.

Runner-Up: Graeme Avery (Karingal)

Winners: P Gribbin, Keith Archer, Gary Pincott (Pakenham) 
Second: Jimmy Cuthbertson, John Hannants, Daryl Williamson (Yallourn) 
Third:  AJ Parker, Phil Gude, George Brown (Dromana) 
Fourth:  N Dickson, Brian Barby, John Bulmer (Warragul/Drouin)

The day started off a bit wet but most of the players didn’t seem to mind. The weather improved as the day progressed, and all players agreed that the lunch provided by our ladies was very nice, in particular the home made trifles. The day in total was a great success.
