Outstanding Service Award – Don Carmichael
Bowls Victoria has honoured Don Carmichael for nearly 30 years of distinguished service to Gippsland bowls at all levels, awarding him the Outstanding Service Award.
Mr Carmichael has been a member of Sale Golf Bowls Club since 1988.
He has served the club at all levels from president to umpire to tournament organiser, and been a driving force for the sport in the Gippsland area.
Mr Carmichael is a Life Member of North Gippsland Bowls Division, having served in a variety of roles including president, RVBA Councillor and Bowls Victoria Region Representative over more than a decade.
Bowls Victoria’s Outstanding Service Award is given to those who provide extraordinary voluntary service in administration at club, division or region level or at an extraordinarily high level as a player.
Mr Carmichael received his award from Bowls Victoria Deputy President Barbara Gilbert at the March meeting of Bowls Victoria Region Representatives.
