Clubs have a responsibility to their members and visitors to make sure they operate in a way that reduces the risk of injury, damage or loss to people, facilities and finances. Therefore, this is a constant need for Clubs to identify risks, deal with them and then evaluate whether the strategies that are subsequently implemented are effectively dealing with the risk.
For more information on risk, sample risk management policies, plans and risk registers, please see the Risk Management webpages at Club Help and Sport and Recreation (WA).
Clubs are also encouraged to fill out this Game Day/Training Checklist which is a basic inspection tool that helps to identify safety concerns and record your actions on game/training day to help eliminate risks.
