SSSSA Bowls Day
Ashburton Bowls Club, City of Frankston Bowling Club and Donvale Bowls Club hosted the Southern Special Schools Sports Association (SSSSA) Bowls Day on Friday 22nd June. Ashburton Bowls Club, City of Frankston Bowling Club and Donvale Bowls Club hosted the Southern Special Schools Sports Association (SSSSA) Bowls Day on Friday 22nd June. 250 students from 15 schools attended the day across all three venues. The students enjoyed a number of Junior Jack Attack activities as well as an end of Bowls. In the morning the students practiced all of these activities and after lunch the schools went up against each other to determine the winner of the day.
Congratulations to the winners who will be heading to the State Final in December, these are, Marnebek School (City of Frankston BC), Glenallen (Ashburton BC) and Heatherwood School (Donvale BC). Well done to all the other schools who put in a fantastic effort. Thank you to the clubs for hosting the event and to the volunteers who helped make the day such a success.
