Leopold Sporties seeking Bowls Coach
Leopold Sporties is seeking a dedicated and passionate Bowls Coach to join their vibrant and growing club for the 2025/2026 season. With close to 200 active bowls members, they are looking for someone who can bring energy, expertise, and leadership to the team and help take their bowls program to the next level.
Key responsibilities:
- Recruitment: Actively recruit new bowls members to grow the club’s participation.
- Coaching: Coordinate and coach new, existing, and junior bowlers on an individual or group basis.
- Training: Develop and implement a training regime for both Saturday and Midweek Pennant teams.
- Event Coordination: Organize and coordinate club events and tournaments, ensuring smooth execution and member engagement.
- Promotion: Promote bowls events within the club and the broader community to encourage participation and visibility.
- Selection Duties: Handle selection duties for pennant sides, ensuring that selections are performance-based.
- Club Representation: Represent the club in Tuesday Pennant and ensure the team’s performance aligns with the club’s values.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in bowls coaching or relevant sports coaching.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A passion for promoting bowls and growing the sport.
- Previous experience with team selections and event coordination is a plus.
