Middle Park seeking Head Coach
As the Head Coach at Middle Park Bowls Club, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and developing the coaching program aimed at enhancing the skills and performance of our members. You will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the coaching program, structuring training sessions, and fostering a culture of skill development, teamwork and growth within the club. After a successful 2024/25 season, the club is continuing its approach to being a forward-thinking, success-driven and inclusive home for their members and guests.
Key responsibilities for the successful candidate include:
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive coaching program tailored to the needs of members at a range of skill levels, from beginners to advanced players for pre-season, during season and postseason time periods.
- Coordinating coaching schedules and ensure the availability of qualified club coaches for whole-group and individual training sessions, while leading a team of up to two assistant coaches, continuing to develop their coaching skills.
- Working closely with club management and the coaching committee to set performance goals and objectives for individual players and the club as a whole.
- Establishing and conducting skill assessments and provide tailored coaching plans and/or feedback to help members improve their technique, strategy, mindset and overall performance.
- Planning and facilitate regular training sessions, workshops, and clinics covering various aspects of lawn bowls, including but not limited to delivery, line and length, tactics, mental preparation, teamwork, roles and culture.
- Monitoring the progress of players and coaches, and provide regular feedback and guidance to support their development.
- Collaborating with other club committees and stakeholders to promote participation in coaching programs.
A competitive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
