Round 2 of the Sporting Club Grants Program is open and closes on 24 January 2018. 
        
Sport and Recreation Victoria’s Sporting Club Grants Program provides grants to assist in the purchase of sports uniforms and equipment and to improve the capacity and accessibility of Victorian clubs and other community sport and recreation organisations and increase the skills of their coaches, officials and managers.

The program has four funding categories:
Category 1: Uniforms or Equipment
Grants up to $1000 to purchase uniforms or other equipment essential for participation.

Category 2: Skill Development
Grants up to $2000 to improve the skills of club members by providing training for coaches, officials, administration staff and management committees.

Category 3: Club Operational Capacity
Grants up to $5000 to improve the operational effectiveness and efficiency of clubs through strategic planning or, to increase community participation through accessible sport and active recreation opportunities.

Category 4: Aboriginal Participation
Grants targeted at increasing participation in sport and active recreation for Aboriginal Victorians. Grants are available for uniforms up to $1000 – for example, a new Aboriginal team, indigenous printed uniforms or teams travelling to play in carnivals; Equipment up to $1000 – for example, a new Aboriginal team; Skills Development up to $2000 – For example training courses for coaches, officials, referees (not player development skills); and Travel up to $750 – for example to travel to training’s, competition or carnivals.
