BowlsLink, the new whole-of-sport information technology platform, is gearing up for the public unveiling of new club sites, with clubs to be handed the keys to “staging sites” (interim sites) from as early as next week.

Click here to read the BowlsLink launch article from August 16, which details the transition from SportsTG to new Memberpoint sites, which are provided by Savage Bull in a partnership with Bowls Australia and participating STAs.

Every club with an existing SportsTG site (noting the exceptions below) will soon be provided login details to a new interim Memberpoint staging site, which provides a non-live platform for clubs to build and develop their new sites before they are switched on.

Clubs will be given access to the staging sites by October 2, 2018, with the sites to be officially launched in mid-November.

Clubs that don’t utilise a SportsTG site, but want to use a new cost-effective and state-of-the-art Memberpoint site, should contact Bowls Australia’s Training and Support Coordinator, via the details below.

In a coup for administrators of the club websites, the new Memberpoint platform comes pre-loaded with most content currently stored on the existing SportsTG site; significantly reducing the amount of manual input of information required to get the new sites ready to go live.

Any club affiliated with an STA who is funding the project is eligible to receive a new high-functioning Memberpoint website free-of-charge.

As of September 28, Bowls Australia are still negotiating with Bowls SA and Women’s Bowls NSW to determine whether they will fund the system on behalf of their clubs, in order to offer websites free-of-charge to their clubs; Bowls QLD have elected to fund their own system separate to all other STAs.

To ensure that clubs in the three aforementioned states can access a state-of-the-art, purpose-built system for bowls, Bowls Australia are exploring options to provide clubs with access to their own Memberpoint website, competition management software, membership database, and much more, for a nominal fee.

Additional website capabilities, such as an online shop, are able to be purchased directly from Savage Bull for an additional  fee, via the details below.

Bowls Australia have developed a number of resources, available online here, to help clubs with the development process of the new Memberpoint website, including a pre-site construction guide and checklist, webinar timetables, documents and videos.
