North Balwyn seeking Head Coach
The North Balwyn Bowls Club (NBBC) is nestled in a beautiful parkland setting and is a vibrant, community-driven bowls club.
They’re seeking a Playing or Non-Playing Accredited Head Coach for the 2025/26 season. This person will have experience in coaching at a Club either as a Head Coach or as an Assistant and will have strong playing experience.
They’re seeking a person who will foster a positive, inclusive, and a high-performing club culture and inspire their club to play finals. The successful candidate will report to the Bowls Director.
They’re proud of their welcoming culture and competitive spirit, with 84 Pennant members and a strong presence across weekend and mid-week competitions. In season 2025/26, They field Divisions 3, 4, 6 & 8 in Saturday Pennant and Divisions 2, 3, 4 & 8 in Midweek Pennant.

Key Responsibilities
These will include but are not limited to the following:
- Develop a player development and coaching plan for the forthcoming season
- Create and lead coaching sessions and oversee player development across all levels of the Club
- Deliver specific skill development workshops and strategy sessions for all pennant players
- Provide monthly coaching updates to the Bowls Director
- Recruit new pennant players
- Participate in selection meetings and support team composition
- Coordinate Thursday afternoon coaching (5pm & 6pm sessions available)
- Provide advice and guide assistant coaches and run match-preparation training
- Play in their top pennant teams (preferred but not mandatory).

Employment Details
Term: from July 1, 2025 – April 30, 2026 (10 months)
Hours & Remuneration: Negotiable, based on experience and availability
