Recognition for our volunteers
The announcement of the 2015 Volunteer of the Year Award will be one of the highlights of the Bowls Victoria Annual General Meeting this year.
The prestigious award will be announced at the meeting on Thursday, October 22, at Hawthorn Arts Centre.
The winner will be chosen from the 15 regional winners, who were nominated and chosen for their local awards.
Bowls Victoria’s 520-plus clubs were initially encouraged to nominate deserving volunteers for the award.
Club winners include Val Park (Dromana), Peter O’Connor (Woodbury BC) and John Gregson (Mount Eliza) – all pictured.
Both O’Connor (Bendigo Campaspe) and Gregson (Peninsula Casey) won their regional awards and are among those in the running for the State award.
