Vic Country v SA Development – Mildura
It’s a chance for some of regional Victoria’s best bowlers to test themselves against interstate opposition.
The Vic Country v South Australia Development Squad Test series will be held in the Mildura area from August 12 to 14, 2016, with Mildura and Mildura Workers clubs hosting matches.
The Victorian Country selection includes players from the Goulburn Valley, Bendigo Campaspe, Swan Hill, Mildura and Sunraysia areas.
The event enters its 12th year in 2016, and features four Tests over the three days of competition in men’s and women’s bowls.
Players featuring in the Victorian side include 2014 Victorian Open Vic Medallist Brad Orr, fellow Victorian representative Andrew Brown, and under 18 rising stars Brody Harker and Emma Simmonds – both from one of the host clubs, Mildura BC.
The Vic Country women’s team also includes several members of the 2016 Women’s Region Sides Championship-winning Bendigo Campaspe team.
