Australian Senior Sides Championships

Both Victorian Men’s & Women’s State Over 60’s Representative teams are making their way down to Tasmania next week in an effort to claim back some bragging rights from the other States and Territories when they go head to head with each of them in their annual National Over 60’s Championships.
Coming off two less than auspicious challenges for the National titles held at Tweed Heads BC in October 2014 the Victorians have been waiting for twelve months to make amends and are primed and ready for the action that commences at North Launceston BC in Tasmania on Monday afternoon.
The Victorians can expect varying weather conditions for the week when they venture down to Tassie on Sunday. Seventeen degrees and a possible shower to kick off the event on Monday followed by improving conditions on Tuesday and through to the end activities on Thursday.
Let’s hope that they packed accordingly and can adjust to the variable conditions and return back to Victoria with the two trophies as best state in the Over 60’s.
Teams for next week are located here and there will be updates of round by round scores as they come to hand during the event. The entire contingent of Victorian representatives will be out to show that last year’s performances from both the men’s and women’s sides were out of character as they’ll be out to capture a win first-up against the host state Tasmania in the opening round.
