Bowls Victoria and Audika Partner to Bring Hearing Health Support to Victorian Bowling Communities

Bowls Victoria and Audika Australia have joined forces to help Victorian bowling communities stay connected, engaged and healthy through a new Community Hearing Health partnership.

The partnership will see Audika become Bowls Victoria’s Official Hearing Health Support Partner, bringing together two organisations with a shared commitment to supporting healthier, more connected communities. Through the partnership, hearing health education and complimentary hearing screening opportunities will be brought directly into local bowling communities, making it easier for members to take a proactive approach to their hearing health while continuing to enjoy the social connection, friendship and participation that bowls provides. For Bowls Victoria, the partnership represents an important opportunity to put health and wellbeing at the heart of the bowling experience and encourage conversations around an often-overlooked aspect of healthy ageing.

“Bowls is so much more than what happens on the green. It is about friendship, belonging, communication and staying connected with the people and communities around us,” said Andrew Haug, General Manager Commercial Operations, Bowls Victoria. “That is what makes our partnership with Audika so compelling. Hearing health plays an important role in helping people communicate, participate and remain connected, and this partnership gives us an opportunity to bring that conversation directly into the communities we serve. We are incredibly proud to partner with Audika and to support our members in living healthier, more connected lives.”

Lize Coetzee, Audiologist and National Sales & Operations Director said the partnership provides an opportunity to make hearing health more accessible by bringing the conversation into familiar and trusted community environments. “We know that better hearing can support communication, confidence, independence and social connection, yet many people delay taking the first step. Partnering with Bowls Victoria gives us an opportunity to meet people where they are in their local clubs and communities and make hearing health easier to understand and access”.

“We are proud to partner with Bowls Victoria on an initiative that is focused not only on hearing, but on helping people remain connected to the people, activities and communities that matter most to them. Together, we can help encourage more people to take a proactive approach to their hearing health and wellbeing.”

With Bowls Victoria representing a broad network of bowling communities across metropolitan and regional Victoria, the partnership provides a powerful platform to raise awareness of hearing health and encourage positive conversations about healthy ageing. The partnership will combine hearing health education, complimentary screening opportunities and community engagement, supported by communications across the Bowls Victoria network.

The partnership reflects a shared belief that healthy ageing is about more than physical wellbeing. Staying socially connected, communicating confidently and participating in community life are all important parts of living well. For many people, the bowling club is a place where friendships are built, conversations happen and communities come together. By bringing hearing health into that environment, Bowls Victoria and Audika are helping make an important health conversation part of everyday community life. Through the Community Hearing Health partnership, Bowls Victoria and Audika are committed to helping members make informed decisions about their hearing and supporting them to stay connected to the people, activities and communities that matter most.

To launch the partnership Audika are offering all Bowls Victoria members up to 25% off their Oticon Intent range*.
