BowlsLink Data Campaign and Member Competition
Bowls Australia recently mandated required data fields in all member records of the BowlsLink database.
Mandatory fields have been added for both Member and Club records, designed to help both BA/BV and your Club to improve communication, planning, and services for the bowls community.
Bowls Victoria is encouraging Members and Clubs to check profiles and update details before the new season starts, and automatically be in the running to win a new set of Henslite bowls, via weekly prize draws. Here’s what you need to do to be eligible to win:
- MEMBERS must check their own profile and complete compulsory fields (listed below) using the desktop version of Bowlslink (not the App – not all fields can be updated in the App); and
- Member’s PRIMARY CLUB must complete the 3 x required Club information fields.
Step 2 must be completed by Bowlslink Club Administrators (often Club Secretary).
Required Member Information (mandated fields)
Located in Key Details and Personal Information sections within your BowlsLink profile.
- Title (e.g. Mr/Ms/Mrs/Miss etc)
- First Name and Last Name
- Mobile number
- Date of Birth (DOB)*
- Address
- Occupation (from a drop-down list). If you are no longer working, please select the role that best describes your most significant former career/role.
* Please note that a Member’s DOB can ONLY be updated by a Club Administrator
What Members need to do:
- Log into your BowlsLink profile
- Review your information
- Complete the compulsory fields
What Clubs need to do
- Club Administrator must log into Club profile
- Complete Office Bearer details (President, Secretary, Treasurer)
- Encourage Members to update their own profiles
- Update a Member’s DOB if requested

Campaign Competition & Prizes
As an incentive to update BowlsLink data, weekly prize draws will commence from the first week of July and will run for several weeks.
One eligible Member and their Primary Club, will both win a new set of Henselite bowls*, every week for the duration of the campaign. That’s two sets of bowls up for grabs every week this month!
In addition, a major prize draw for Clubs will take place at the end of the campaign. Two winners, one small Club and one large Club (with the highest percentage of completed Member records) will win a 75″ television!
How to update records
Use the BowlsLink desktop version (not the phone app), login using your email or National ID Number (NIN), and your password (contact BV if you can’t reset your password).
From the menu:
- Select Edit Profile
- Open both the Key Details and Personal Information tabs
- Complete the required fields
- Click Update at the bottom of each section

Accurate information helps Bowls Victoria and your Club to:
- Provide better communication and support
- Share relevant opportunities and information
- Improve planning and decision-making
- Maintain stronger connections with Members
Remember, the prize draws commence this week, and both Member and Club records need to be updated to be eligible to win. Time to get that data entered and updated!
