Senior State Side Expressions of Interest
Bowls Victoria is inviting expressions of interest from eligible players to be considered by State Selectors for the Men’s and Women’s Senior State Squad.
This expression of interest process is not for recent players who will remain in the Selectors’ considerations, but rather those individuals who may have become age-eligible or who do not attend the O60s Carnival and other major pathway events for work/personal reasons.
Eligible athletes are any player born on or before 10 October, 1966.
State Side Selectors will identify a Squad of up to 24 Men and Women who will come together at Deer Park on the 28 June for a Squad Day. A final Squad of 16 of each will be chosen for the remainder of the 2026 representative season and the Side for the State Series against NSW in August will also be finalised.
Selectors will consider suitably accomplished athletes reflecting recent form and achievement at pathway events. For those athletes unable to attend pathway events, your record of achievement at Pennant, Club, Region, and State events will also be considered.

- BowlsLink NIN (unique number identifier)
- Date of Birth
- Gender
- Comment on recent highest level of achievement
The Expression of Interest process closes 31 May.
Selectors will consider nominations, in addition to players brought forward by the Committees.
The Senior Side calendar includes the following commitments:
- 28 June, Squad Day, Deer Park BC
- 16-18 August, State Side Series vs NSW, Deer Park BC
- 9-13 October, Senior Australian Sides Championships, Osbourne Park BC (WA)
