Learmonth Bowling Club seeking Playing Coach
The Learmonth Bowling Club are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced playing coach to join the club and help develop players of all skill levels.
About the Role
Learmonth is a community club with country values, supporting 75 members and located in the Ballarat Highlands Bowls Region. They have 4 weekend Pennant sides and 2 midweek sides. Both weekend and midweek have Division 1 sides. They currently have 2 synthetic greens and a tifdwarf grass green.
About the Role
The successful applicant will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging coaching sessions, supporting player development, and fostering a positive and inclusive club environment. This role may involve working with beginners through to more experienced competition players.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structured and enjoyable coaching sessions
- Support skill development, strategy, and game awareness
- Encourage participation and build player confidence
- Assist with team preparation and compatitive readiness
- Coordinating major tournament and club events
- Pennant team selection
- Promoting a welcoming and inclusive club culture
What They’re Looking For
- Playing coach with appropriate bowling accrediation
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work with a diverse range of ages and abilities
- Passion for growing the sport and supporting players
Remuneration will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
