Bowls Victoria and Deer Park Club Announce Major Event Hosting Partnership
Bowls Victoria and Deer Park Club are proud to announce an exciting new partnership that will see Deer Park host some of the state’s most significant bowls events, further cementing its reputation as a premier destination for elite competition.
As part of the partnership, Deer Park Club will host a number of Bowls Victoria’s flagship events, including the Victorian Bowls League (VBL) Sectional Round, VBL Finals, Victorian Indoor Championships Finals, and the prestigious State Side Series versus NSW.
This announcement comes at an especially exciting time for Deer Park Club, with construction of the Club’s state-of-the-art Dome redevelopment having commenced in May 2025 and scheduled for completion in April 2026.
The new redevelopment will feature two undercover greens, comprising four rinks and eight rinks under one roof, creating an exceptional environment for both players and spectators. Designed to deliver comfort, accessibility and atmosphere, the facility will allow bowlers to enjoy the sport 12 months of the year in all conditions.
The redevelopment will significantly enhance Deer Park’s ability to attract and host major bowls events, competitions for players of all levels, and showcase opportunities that highlight the sport at its very best.
Bowls Victoria General Manager – Commercial Operations, Andrew Haug, said the partnership reflects confidence in Deer Park Club as a leading venue for elite bowls in Victoria.
“Deer Park Club has built a strong reputation for quality facilities and a welcoming environment for major events,” Haug said.
“This partnership represents an exciting opportunity to showcase elite bowls in a modern setting and to continue growing the profile of the sport.”
Deer Park Club General Manager, David Thompson, said the partnership aligns perfectly with the Club’s vision and recent investment.
“We’re incredibly proud to partner with Bowls Victoria and to be recognised as a venue capable of hosting major bowls events,” Thompson said.
“The redevelopment is a significant milestone for our Club, and we’re excited about the opportunities it will create for players, spectators and the wider bowls community.”
The redevelopment will complement Deer Park Club’s existing world-class facilities, positioning the Club as one of the pre-eminent bowls venues in the state. Deer Park Club are looking forward to welcoming the bowls community to the club.
