City of Geelong Bowls Club seeking Bowls Co-ordinator/Coach
The City of Geelong Bowls Club is centrally located in North Geelong. It offers one outdoor and one under cover green. Several high-profile tournaments have been held at the Club in addition to regular Pennant, Barefoot Bowls and Social Bowls games. Facilities are modern and accommodate members, visitors, corporate and private bookings. This is a great opportunity for the right person to showcase their talent as Bowls Co-Ordinator in a professional, supportive environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Organizing and administering bowls events
- Promoting the sport of lawn bowls
- Liaising with stakeholders
- Developing and implementing strategies to grow the bowls program
- Leading, engaging and communicating with volunteers and members
- Management of bowls shop
ATTRIBUTES OF SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
- Proactive, high-energy individual who is passionate about bowls and engaging with the community
- Computer literate
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills – both verbally and in writing
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Experience in managing volunteers and working with committees
- Participation in Pennant Bowls at very high level
