The Heatherdale Recreation & Bowls Club is seeking expressions of interest for a club coach to join the Bowls Club for the 2024/25 Season.

About Heatherdale Recreation & Bowls Club

We currently have Divisions 2, 4 and 5 teams in Midweek Pennant and Divisions 4 and 7 in Weekend Pennant. The club is successful despite its small size. The HRBC thrives on its competitive passion and its vibrant social atmosphere.

About the Position

The Coach/Player will be responsible for providing coaching, guidance, and support to individuals and teams participating at Heatherdale. The Coach/Player will work closely with players of all teams and of all skill levels to enhance their techniques, strategies, and overall performance.

Heatherdale is seeking to someone lead our existing coaching team and would ideally suit someone with current coaching qualifications or an accomplished bowler looking to take the next steps in their coaching career.

It is expected the Club Coach will spend approximately 4-6 hours per week planning and attending training sessions for our pennant players and consult with and provide guidance to our club coaches and selectors. This role will report to the Bowls Club Board

  • Improve our coaching and selection expertise,
  • Develop and implement coaching programs for members and new bowlers, with a focus on team development, the role in a team and game plans,
  • Provide both group and individual coaching.

The period of this agreement is for 9 months from 1st August 2024 until 30th April 2025. Renewal of this contract would be negotiated at the end of this period.

Remuneration would be discussed during negotiations, linked to relevant experience.
