Seeking Playing Coach
Blackburn Bowls Club is seeking expressions of interest for the role of playing coach for season 2024/25.
The Playing Coach will be responsible for providing coaching, guidance, and support to individuals and teams participating at Blackburn. The Playing Coach will work closely with players of all skill levels to enhance their techniques, strategies, and overall performance.

Core Competencies
- Playing at Division 1 or better
- Provide a Strategic Plan to advance the Club.
- Demonstrated expertise in the sport of lawn bowls, with a strong understanding of its rules, techniques, and strategies.
- Previous coaching experience, preferably at regional, or national level.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire players of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Certification or accreditation from a recognised coaching body (if applicable).
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to accommodate training and competition schedules.
Mandatory
- Support Player recruitment.
- Ensure that all players are prepared to the best of their ability.
- Provide a valid Working with Children Check
