Seeking Assistant Club Coach
The Deer Park Club is seeking to secure an Assistant Club Coach for the 2024/25 bowls season and beyond.
ABOUT DEER PARK CLUB
Deer Park have been regarded as one of the premier bowls organisations in Victoria across recent years and has a proud history in Victorian bowls competitions. The club secured their first Premier Division premiership in 2022/23 and have ambitions to become one of the powerhouse clubs in the bowls world.
The club is about to commence a comprehensive state of the art bowls facility upgrade which will include a fully indoor bowls complex featuring two bowling greens. With 5 teams in Weekend Pennant, 3 teams in Midweek Pennant and 1 team in Night Pennant, our bowls program and membership continues to grow.
The club has also recently introduced a Youth Bowls Academy which will involve some of the state’s leading junior athletes, as well as some students coming out of the club’s school program that runs throughout the year.
The club is involved in many major bowls events including the Ultimate Bowls Championship, Victorian Bowls League, and other national club tournaments each year.
The Assistant Club Coach will be responsible for the growth and development of all playing groups, working closely with the Bowls Department (Head of Bowls Operations, Bowls & Partnership Manager and Club Coach).
As well as:
- Be available for personal and group coaching.
- Be involved with the operations of the Youth Bowls Academy.
- Plan and implement club and practice schedules and programs with current Club Coach.
- Design coaching programs specific for various skill levels.
- Available for all Pennant games and major events that are scheduled.
Requirements of the Applicant:
- Premier Division preferred.
- Ability to work within a team and with individuals.
- Excellent communication skills.
- B.A Coaching accreditation.
- Working with children check.
Remuneration and length of contract to be negotiated. Application will be held in the strictest of confidentiality.
