Seeking Club Coach
Yarra Glen Bowls Club (YGBC) is seeking expressions of interest for a playing coach to join the Yarra Glen Bowls Club for the 2024/25 season.
ABOUT YARRA GLEN BOWLS CLUB
Situated on the eastern fringe of Melbourne, Yarra Glen is a picturesque town in the heart of the Yarra Valley. Whilst close to all the resources of the city, Yarra Glen retains its country feel.
The Bowls Club was established in 1963 and currently has 2 greens, one newly constructed synthetic surface and one established tifdwarf grass green. The club has recently completed significant renovations to our grounds and clubhouse and thrives on both its competitive passion and creating a vibrant social atmosphere all year round.
Competing in Bowls Victoria Metropolitan Pennant competitions, Yarra Glen has been a very successful club despite its small size. We currently have 3 teams in Weekend pennant, and 2 teams in the Midweek pennant competition. Our mission is to build an intergenerational community of bowlers in the Yarra Valley.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
- Yarra Glen are seeking to supplement the existing coaching team and would ideally suit someone with current coaching qualifications or an accomplished bowler looking to take the next steps in their coaching career.
- Depending on availability, they are looking for a coach to guide skills development with structured club-wide and individual sessions for both experienced and new bowlers throughout the season.
- You should be a good communicator and able to engage with members of all ages and skill levels.
- You will be expected to play Weekend Pennant at a minimum, as well as participating in team selection across all competitions.
REMUNERATION
Remuneration is to be discussed upon interest, and availability of time for the role.
