2024 Junior Provincial

by Team BV

Sebastopol Bowling Club played host to the U18 Junior Provincial for the first time in January 2024, where twelve squads battled it out to take home the Flapper Shield. We welcomed back the Western Warriors to the fold, as well as the newly formed West Coast Wizards, who made their Junior Provincial debut.

Three rounds of action brought the best out from each of the U18 squads, all vying for a semi-finals berth. But it was the Northern Flyers (red), Goulburn Murray Devils (1), Bendigo Dragons, and Geelong Giants (blue) progressing to battle it out over two, cut-throat, 4-end matches.

The Dragons looked to back up their strong performance throughout the day, but the Flyers came through on top. Meanwhile, the Devils proved just a bit too strong for the Giants.

These two semi-finals were followed by plenty of shot making in the final. One highlight being Jack Cassidy’s rink managing to pick up a 4 on their final end, tying scores up on the overall with one end to play. Josh Cartwright managed to draw shot on the final end, sending the Goulburn Murray Devils home with the Flapper Shield for the first time!

Thanks once again to the team at Sebastopol Bowling Club, who did a brilliant job hosting this event for the first time!
