Life Memberships Awarded
We are incredibly pleased to announce that the Bowls Victoria Board have awarded Life Membership to four thoroughly deserving individuals (as per Clause 6.6 of the BV Constitution).
The members awarded Life Membership of Bowls Victoria are (alphabetical order):
- Robert (Bob) Carlson
- Matthew (Matt) Flapper
- Carla Krizanic
- John Roberts
These four individuals are thoroughly deserving of this prestigious award, in recognition of their contributions to the sport in many ways and over many years, whether it be as a player or volunteer.
The prestige of this honour is demonstrated by the fact that there have been only 52 members awarded Life Membership of Bowls Victoria in our 143-year history. There have been no Life Memberships awarded since 2016, and not since 1994 have there been four persons awarded Life Membership in one year.
Bob, Matt, Carla and John will be formally presented with their Life Memberships at the Bowls Victoria Annual General Meeting on the 26th of October 2023. A function for the four new Life Members will then follow in November where they can share their achievement with family and friends, and at that time we’ll share more about their individual achievements and history in our sport.
