2016 AGSV Bowls Championship

Ivanhoe Grammar School has won the inaugural Associated Grammar Schools Victoria (AGSV) Bowls Championship at MCC Kew Sports Club.
In a tight contest against both Schools Challenge and local rival Camberwell Grammar, Ivanhoe found some spark in the fourth end, and eventually winning seven shots to three.
The 2016 AGSV Bowls Championship was entered by six teams across Assumption College (Kilmore), Ivanhoe Grammar, Camberwell Grammar and Trinity Grammar who started bright and early at 8:30am on a Saturday.
Throughout the three rounds, we saw some fantastic shots being played, some by students who had represented their school previously, but also by some students who had only picked up a bowl a handful of times, some only last week!
The Championship was decided over three rounds of competition and a round of finals – with each team winning at least a game and only shot difference separating the top two teams:

3rd Place Playoff: Trinity Grammar (12) defeated Assumption College 2 (3)
Grand Final: Ivanhoe Grammar (7) defeated Camberwell Grammar 1 (3)
 
Bowls Victoria would like to say thanks to the MCC Kew Sports Club for hosting the event and the AGSV for their assistance in making the event happen. Additionally, a big thank you to Kilmore Bowling Club, who assisted Assumption College in learning about the game of Bowls and preparing the school to participate in the championship.
