Officials of the Vic Open
They are the 72 people the Victorian Open couldn’t have done without.
It’s a thankless task, but the large contingent of umpires and markers, among them 22 local umpires, have worked their way through more than 1,000 matches at the 2015 tournament.
Just like the players in their drive to make the finals of their respective events, the umpires rated as the best in their field are given the task of officiating at the tournament deciders.
Graeme Evely and Carlene Gregory will umpire the triples finals on Friday, Doug Maconachie and Lorraine Dowson will officiate the mixed pairs, and Ann Walsh and Ann Climas will handle the pairs finals.
John Roberts and Glen Lockwood will umpire the singles clashes.
