Vale Charlie Pavone
Long-serving bowls official and former state player Charlie Pavone has died.
He was 72.
Mr Pavone was president of the Bendigo Campaspe Bowls Region, and a Bowls Victoria Regional Representative for Bendigo Campaspe for the past three years.
In a long, distinguished career of service to the sport, Mr Pavone was chairman and treasurer of the Campaspe Bowls Division.
A member of Rich River BC, Mr Pavone played more than 100 games for Victoria.
Mr Pavone’s funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 11, at 1pm at St Mary’s Catholic Church, Echuca.
