Disability Australia 2015 Multibowl Championships Results Update
Victorians are faring extremely well in the 2015 Multi Bowl Championships currently being held at the Musgrave Hill Bowls Club in sunny Queensland.
Competing over the six day National event, players over the past few days have been participating in sectional play across individual and team events representing a number of bowling classification categories.
Wednesday was a fantastic day of results for the Vics, with Heatherdale Bowling Club bowler Lucas Protopapas reining supreme and winning the B7/8 Singles gold medal against Tony Bonnell from Queensland 21-16.
Josh Barry (Sebastopol BC) and new comer to the Victorian team Ken Argent (Alexandra BC) also enjoying success, claiming the Men’s B7/8 Pairs gold medal 18-7 against counter parts South Australia in the final.
Mulgrave based Alison Meakin has also had a great week on the Musgrave Hill greens, claiming a bronze medal against Katelyn Smith from Queensland in the Women’s B7/8 Singles 21-19. Tim Slater (Fitzroy Victoria) and Aaron Emonson (Ballarat) also took out the bronze in the Men’s B7/8 Pairs 18-11.
Today play continues with the Men’s B 7/8 singles sectionals and the Men’s B5/6 Pairs and Women’s Open Pairs. Best of luck to all the players competing in the Multi Bowl Championships.
