2015 Golden Nugget wrap-up
Victorians Dylan Fisher and Chloe Stewart didn’t quite make the business end of the prestigious Golden Nugget at Tweed Heads Bowls Club, but still came up with some impressive results.
Fitzroy Victoria’s Fisher won three of his five matches, just missing out on a semi-finals berth. He beat Mark Casey, Steve Glasson and Scott De Jongh.
Kyneton’s Stewart won two of her five games – the highlight a 25-24 win over Australia’s No.1 ranked bowler Natasha Scott.
Ryan Bester and Anne Johns won the respective Golden Nugget finals on Thursday.
Canadian Bester beat Kelvin Kerkow 25-13, while Johns, from NSW, beat Karen Murphy in a thrilling final 25-24.
