VICTORIA’S MOST ACCESSIBLE SPORT
Bowls Victoria provides opportunities for people of all abilities to participate in our sport; this includes making our sport more accessible to people with a disability.
Bowls Victoria works closely with Disability Sport and Recreation and is committed to educating the Victorian bowls community about how to be inclusive of people with disabilities, by ensuring a welcoming, inclusive and accessible environment.
There are elite pathways for bowlers with a disability in our four Victorian Disability squads for: bowlers with a hearing impairment, bowlers with an intellectual disability, bowlers with a physical disability and bowlers with a vision impairment.
These squads have regular training days at various Clubs across Victoria and compete in state and national championships, helping to promote disability awareness and promote the inclusiveness of our sport.
