Women’s Country Carnival
Update 16th March, 2020:
It is with sadness that we announce the cancellation of the 2020 Women’s Country Bowls Carnival.
The Carnival Committee had hoped to continue and operate within the government guidelines, but the announcement of a State of Emergency in Victoria due to the Coronavirus situation has prompted us to re-examine the situation.
Today we have been in touch with Bowls Victoria, and they have told us that we can begin to plan for the Country Carnival in 2021 – we may re-name it “2020 Plus One”.
All entries will be refunded – please bear with us as there is lots to sort out. Contact your accommodation and sort that too.
We thank everyone for their support – bowlers, sponsors, accommodation providers, Echuca Moama Tourism, the Shire of Campaspe and Murray River Council. The Committee have had a lot of fun and look forward to bigger and better next year in a healthy, happy Australia!
ABOUT THE EVENT
This event, which is supported by Bowls Victoria, will run from March 29 to April 3, 2020, and is a well-loved occasion for high-quality bowls, fellowship, friendship, fun and laughter.
All clubs in CVBD will be hosting some part of the carnival, with accommodation focused around Echuca and Moama. Rich River Bowls Club, City of Echuca Bowls Club and Moama Bowling Club are anticipated to host the Fours events. The Pairs and consolation events will see competitors travel to other clubs within the division.
The Echuca Moama Tourism website will be the launching place for everything connected to the event. A custom landing page on the Echuca Moama Tourism website will allow competitors to book and pay for events and accommodation at the same time.
Echuca Moama Tourism has approached their accommodation providers for exclusive package deals for the dates of the carnival. These packages will be listed under competitor accommodation when the link is made available.
