CHILD SAFETY STANDARDS
The Victorian Child Safe Standards apply to all sporting organisations that provide services or facilities to children within Victoria.
The Standards relate to developing a child safe culture within your club and include requirements to have practices, procedures and policies in place to prevent and respond to allegations of child abuse.
As of 1 January 2017, Victorian law requires all organisations that work with children to meet the Victorian Child Safe Standards. VicSport provide resources for Clubs to help them comply with the Child Safety Standards.
Bowls Victoria has created a Sample Child Safety Policy to assist clubs with their compliance responsibilities.
