Go GREEN on 30th January for Mental Health Awareness
Bowls Victoria, in conjuntion with charity partner Bowl For Your Lives, are proud to be promoting the second Mental Health Awareness Charity Round on 30th January, 2027. Last year, with assistance from AM Sportswear, sixty Victorian clubs supported the purchse of exclusive BV x BFYL charity shirts, and we can’t wait to see them all back out on the greens again. In fact, it’s been wonderfull seeing them out and about at tournaments over the past year. So if you or your club missed out last year, here’s how you and your club can get involved:
- Wear the exclusive BFYL x custome Club charity shirts, or BFYL official merch; π’π₯
- Just ππ’ ππ₯πππ‘! Think shoelaces, socks, zinc, hairspray, maybe a tutu or two!
If your club purchased the charity shirts last year, but you have new members or other who may have missed out, simply place a repeat order.
Want to raise funds in the lead up to, or on the day? Here are some ideas...
π’ Print out the poster below and display in your clubhouse.
π’ Place a club order for the official charity shirt. Every shirt sold directly supports the BFYL charity.
π’ Collect gold coins / donations for wearing green (or fine people for not going all out)
π’ Donate your ‘GREEN FEES’
π’ Sausage sizzles, raffles, fines, etc
π’ ‘Shout a drink’ in the form of a donation – have your club set up a donation box
How to donate:
- Clubs can collect donations from members or visitors, and BV can then collect those donations on behalf of clubs.
- A donation portal/link will be available later this year, with all donations to be presented to BFYL in early 2027.
- Individual donations can be made at any time once the donation portal is live.
We hope all Victorian clubs support this initiative on 30th January, 2027.
