U18 Intra-Squad Selection Event
City v Country – Sunday 4th June, 2023.
Under-18 State Coach Matt Flapper, along with the State Side Selectors, oversaw the intra-Squad selection event hosted at Sebastopol Bowling Club on Sunday, 4 June. The event was fiercely conteseted in a City v Country, 10-a-side format. The Squad were competing to secure a spot in the U18 State Side for the upcoming Tri-Series to be played in NSW next month.
The competition was strong, with City & Country both winning two Tests each. But when it came down to rink wins, it was City who came away victorious with a rink win score of 15-9.
Bowls Victoria will be announcing the final Side this week with the Tri-Series scheduled against NSW and Queensland in July.
Bowls Victoria would like to thank Rob Baker and the team at Sebastopol Bowls Club who were wonderful hosts, stepping in for Club Sunbury, Bowls Victoria Junior program partner, who had a full house with the Australian Indoor VIC Qualifying events taking place over the weekend.
