Greenline announced as sponsor of the 2022 Henselite Victorian Open.

Australian fabric structure firm comes on board for tournament’s 10th anniversary.

Bowls Victoria is please to announce a new partnership with industry-leading fabric structure design and build firm Greenline, for the upcoming Victorian Open on 18-25 November. For more than 20 years, Greenline has worked with clients in the sports, government and education sectors to transform outdoor areas into amazing spaces that help their clients grow.

As a major sponsor, Greenline is helping bring this year’s Victorian Open to life, where 2,000 bowlers and thousands more spectators are expected to attend the eight-day event. The Victorian Open is Bowls Victoria’s premier tournament and one of the most popular events for professional and grassroots bowlers alike. This year’s 10th anniversary tournament marks the first since 2019, skipping the last two years due to the pandemic.

General Manager – Commercial Operations at Bowls Victoria, Andrew Haug said “As a resident of the City of Casey I have been well aware of Greenline and the Narre Warren Bowls Club project they delivered.

What the team from Greenline have delivered is nothing short of incredible. They’ve created a structure that allows more people in the local and broader community access to facilities like this, in turn helping increase membership and revenue for the club. It’s great to partner with community-minded, client-centric organisations like Greenline, and we look forward to what we hope will be a long-standing relationship”.

Whatever you’re looking to achieve, whatever your clubs’ goals are, Greenline has the expertise to help you achieve them with its fabric structures. The team manages the entire process end-to-end, including the design, engineering, construction, and installation Australia-wide.

Gerry Wallace, Director at Greenline, said of the sponsorship, “We’re excited to work with Bowls Victoria to create a world-class experience for this year’s Open.

Over the past decade, more Australians have been attracted to the sport, bringing close to 700,000 people annually to the greens. These canopies help clubs make the most of their space for keen bowlers. They offer protection from the sun and rain, giving clubs a chance to stay open in all weather, and offer extended operating hours and different formats of the game. All this means more opportunity for bowlers to enjoy time at their clubs.”

Greenline recently entered the bowls market, bringing decades of experience to clubs around the country. The team has completed three bowling club covers to date, including Narre Warren Bowls Club, and has a further two projects currently underway.
