Reporting to: Head of Bowls Operations/Operations Managers
Salary: Mon-Fri $28.08 per hour, Saturday $33.69 per hour, Sunday $39.31 per hour, P/H $56.15 per hour
Hours: Casual. Hours could vary from week to week depending on the bowls schedule and time of year.
Location: Deer Park Club, 780 Ballarat Road, Deer Park
Purpose of the position
The Assistant Bowls Administrator will be required to work alongside the Head of Bowls Operations and manage all bowls operations as required. The role will be to manage Barefoot Bowls calendar and all bookings. The Assistant Bowls Administrator will play an important part of the day-to-day bowls department.
The Assistant Bowls Administrator will also be required to assist with the Deer Park Club operations from time to time, this could include bar work, gaming, bistro, bus driving etc.
Responsibilities and duties
Bowls Office – Manage the day-to-day operations of the bowls office. Tasks will include social media promotion, organisation of bowls tournaments and barefoot bowls. The Assistant Bowls Administrator will need to be able to use programs such as Canva, Microsoft Office and all Social Media networks confidently.
Barefoot Bowls – Manage the club’s Barefoot Bowls program. Liaise with key club staff to co-ordinate bookings and their requirements. Work with club volunteers to assist with the supervision of barefoot groups as required.
The Dome Lounge/Deer Park Club – From time to time, the Assistant Bowls Administrator will be required to spend some time behind the bar in the Dome Lounge and/or Main Club. RSA will be required. Detailed Job description template | Page 2 of 2
Bowls Shop – Manage sales and tasks associated with the management of the shop.
Work experience and skills
- High knowledge and understanding of the sport of Lawn Bowls and the level of work required to work within a bowls office of a leading, high profile bowls organisation.
- Coaching certificate (the club will be willing to put you through this course if required)
- RSA certificate
- Previous bar experience

Details of relationships relevant to this role
- The Assistant Bowls Administrator position will be trained by the Head of Bowls Operations with ongoing support and supervision.
