Seeking Greenkeeper

Bowls Clayton is seeking a Greenkeeper for an immediate start. If you have the necessary skills and experience, please find the scope of works and application details below:

1. Maintain Green 1 to a satisfactory playing level to allow play on all rinks in all directions. This
   green must have a minimum pace of 13.5 seconds. Green is currently a Tiff Dwarf.
2. Maintain Green 2 to a satisfactory playing level to allow play on all rinks in all directions. This
   green must have a minimum pace of 12.5 seconds. Green is currently a Bent.
3. To be experienced in chemical and fertilizer applications and be able to keep a record to be
   communicated to the Greens Director of maintenance performed.
4. To ensure a watering schedule is arranged and communicated to the Greens Director.
5. Be able to carry out necessary works on the greens and renovate when necessary with the
   approval of the Board of Directors.
6. Clayton Bowls club will supply all material and machinery necessary for the normal
   maintenance of the greens. The club will be responsible for the maintenance of such
   equipment.
7. To set up rinks/greens as required for bowling practice, pennant, tournaments and social
   bowls and notify members of available rinks using the whiteboard.
8. Mark lines on the green when necessary.
9. Ensure the workshop is kept tidy and safe from any hazards. Inform the Greens Director of
   any equipment maintenance issues as soon as practical.
10. To provide the Greens Director with a report every month for the Board of Directors.
11. To mow and maintain the grass banks surrounding the greens.
12. A separate price to maintain Green 3 to allow bare foot bowls until such time as the green is
    closed to be converted to a synthetic green in around March/April 2023.
13. A separate price to maintain the surrounding garden beds and hedges.
14. A report on green 1 to rectify the damage including additional estimated costings and
    timeframe to have the green to a satisfactory condition.
15. A report on green 2 to rectify the damage including additional estimated costings and
    timeframe to have the green to a satisfactory condition.
16. The successful applicant must be able to provide Certificates of Currency for all applicable
    insurances.
17. This tender is for a contract basis.
18. Please supply details of Greens you currently maintain or have maintained over the last 5
    years.
