Victorian State Disability Side Announced
Bowls Victoria is pleased to announce our Men’s & Women’s State Disability Side who will represent Victoria at the upcoming 2022 Australian Multi-Disabilities Championships.
For the first time, the Multi-Disabilities Championships will be conducted by Bowls Australia (the event was previously run by Disability Sport Australia), and will be incorporated into this year’s Nationals.
The format will include:
- Open Triples
- Men’s Singles classification B5/6, B7 & B8
- Men’s Pairs classification B5/6, B7 & B8
- Women’s Singles classification B5/6 & B7/8
- Women’s Pairs classification B5/6 & B7/8
The Championships are being hosted at Mermaid Beach Bowls Club, QLD, from 30th September – 5th October and is one of the earliest events in the Nationals schedule. Our Victorians will be supported by side coach Carol Protopapas as well as State Head Coach Ian Ewing.
We congratulate all players on their selection, with a particularly warm welcome to debutantes Timothy Connolly and Annette Ruffle.
