2022 Women’s Country Carnival draws to a close
ANOTHER CARNIVAL ENJOYED BY ALL…
Echuca Moama really turned on the weather with lovely sunshine and warm days this week for the ladies playing in the 2022 Women’s Country Carnival.
The greens were running well at all six host clubs across the Bendigo Campaspe Bowls Region including Rich River, Echua, Moama, Mathoura, Rochester and Lockington.
Paul Moller, President of the BGC Bowls Region, expressed a huge thank you to the greenkeepers, officials, and volunteers for their support in making their greens and facilities available. The hospitality has been top class.
Support was received from Campaspe Shire and Murray River Council as well as many other sponsors, which was greatly appreciated by the Women’s Country Carnival Committee.
Committee Chair Pat Schram reflected this week, “it’s been a pleasure to host so many happy bowlers this week. The ladies have come from all over the State and we have had glorious weather for excellent quality bowls. The volunteers at all the clubs have been brilliant, and the Committee are OK too (just joking), they are fabulous!”
The Committee extended their thanks to BV’s Matt Ottobre for his help with BowlsLink.
The finals of both the Pairs & Fours will be played tomorrow, Thursday 7th April, at Moama Bowling Club, at 9.00am.
To everyone involved in this year’s Carnival, well done!
