“The Workers” host exciting Bowls Carnival for AA Bowlers

This past Thursday saw Mallee Sports Assembly, Bowls Victoria, Bowls Sunraysia Division and Mildura Workers Bowls Club host the 2021 Mildura All Abilities Regional Bowls Carnival.

This extremely popular country bowls event continues to excite with over 60 students from Mildura Specialist School lining to up for a roll.

Students competed in 2 games of 4 ends with scores tallied to determine the winning teams from the morning session. Mildura Specialist School’s Ethan H, Haymish and Joshua joined forces to take out the competition with 50 points! The teams of Elizabeth, Amy and Riley came in second with 34 and Ethan T, Isayiah and Ashton trailing close behind on 30 points.

The Senior Division polished their bowls and readied the spray chalk for the afternoon session of 3 games each. Third place was secured by Daniel Jones on 7 points, Belinda D’Orazio nudged into 2nd with 8 points, and Mick Pedersen reigned supreme in first place with 10 points. Super bowling Mick!

Bowls Victoria and Mallee Sports Assembly would like to thank the Bowls Sunraysia Division and “The Workers” at Mildura Workers Bowls Club for hosting a fantastic day of sport, with our new bowlers getting a taste for the game and eager for more next year.
