New major sponsor for Victorian bowls
Leading manufacturer of high quality and innovative on and off field sportswear company – AM Sportswear – has become a key sponsor of Victorian bowls, agreeing a substantial five-year sponsorship with Bowls Victoria to assist the sport at all levels.
A key component of the partnership is that Bowls Victoria’s marquee teams, volunteers and staff will wear the clothing for all State representative matches and official duties.
As well as becoming the official garment supplier to the Victorian Lightning and Thunder teams, AM Sportswear will soon become a familiar name within Victorian bowls at all levels from grassroots upwards.
Clubs will be able to order their club uniforms through AM Sportswear, the sports’ newest Licensed Manufacturer through the National Merchandise Program (NMP).
General Manager of AM Sportswear Campbell Derrick has had a long career in bowls and knows the scene all too well after spending several years at Bowls Australia managing the NMP. Derrick says: “We believe partnerships are one of the best ways to connect with the bowls community. They allow us to show what we can do for club uniforms and build a stronger and closer relationship with clubs.”
Bowls Victoria Chief Executive Tony Sherwill says the partnership is a huge win for Victorian bowls at all levels.
“Firstly, Bowls Victoria is extremely excited about commencing a long-term partnership with AM Sportwear, and secondly the quality of these garments is second to none,” Mr Sherwill said.
